Welcome to my website! I’m a game artist (concept art, character designs, environments for video games). In 2009 I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Game Design. I’m inspired by combining classical and traditional art theories with modern day digital art and games. I have written a thesis about the possibilites and significance of color in game art and researched new ways of applying compositional grids and focal points to game art and design. My graduation project Hollandia was a showcase of my visual designskills and it won a Dutch Game Award for best student game!
I currently run my own art studio called BITpunk and work as a freelance concept artist and illustrator. As of March 2011, I do research into game art and design at Kyoto Seika University, Japan.
